Maureen Asp Porter, DDS

I grew up in Appleton, and I love serving the families in my hometown. My father inspired me to become a dentist, and I love every minute of it. I want to enhance my patients’ lives by creating healthy, beautiful, long-lasting smiles in the most comfortable environment possible. I am blessed to be a part of the Hilbert Family Practices team, and to help serve this wonderful community.

Education and Continuing Education

In order to become a dentist, I attained the following education:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology, Miami University of Ohio
  • Doctorate of Dental Surgery, Marquette University School of Dentistry
  • General Practice Residency, University of Colorado

I know that in order to be the best dentist possible, I must always continue to learn. After I graduated from dental school, my yearlong hospital residency at the University of Colorado focused on IV sedation, third molar extraction, and dental implants. As a part of my continuing education, I also take courses in dental implants, gum grafting and advanced cardiac life support.

In the Practice

As a dentist, I truly love what I do every day. I enjoy helping people live healthier lives, and getting to make connections with my wonderful patients. I inherited my passion and talent for dentistry from my father, who has been serving our community for more than 30 years. I am proud to work alongside a master at work, and I learn from him and our patients every day.

My patients are the best part of our practice. We truly are like a family and welcome new patients with open arms. We only provide treatments that we would perform on our own children or spouses, and we respect each patient as an individual with different needs.

Our team here is truly special. They have the experience and talent necessary to create a professional and welcoming environment, and they always put the needs of our patients first. I know you’ll love coming to visit us!

Family and Community

I grew up in Appleton, WI, and split my time between Bend, OR, and Appleton. My husband, Zack, and I have two rescue dogs named Cash and Sam. I enjoy running, hiking, alpine skiing and skate skiing in my spare time. I am also an active volunteer with Kiwanis of Sisters, Food Bank, Medical Teams International, and Give Kids a Smile Day.
